Trimpley Heavy Horse Show 2022 – Our Farewell Event

It is with some sadness that I have to tell you that this will be the last ever Trimpley Heavy Horse Show.  We have been running the show now for approx 19 years (apart from Covid years) and it has gone from strength to strength.  We will be hosting our final show on Sunday 31st July 2022 and would love to see old and new faces alike.  Some of you will no doubt have seen us a few times on Countryfile and this will be a great way for you to come and experience the majesty of the Suffolk Punch horses bred here at Holbeache Farm by Mike & Alison Clarke.

There will be plenty to see and do on the day; the show field will be filled with trade stands, craft barn, refreshments, bouncy castles & slides and a fun fair.  There will be a car boot sale, tractor & trailer rides, classic car displays, horse cart rides, working horse demonstrations and of course a chance to get up close and personal with our Suffolks and our new foals.  There will be a show ring where there will be constant activity with horse demonstrations and talks and the day will end with a Grand Parade at approximately 3.45 pm.

So please come and support the show, all monies raised go to charity and it’s a great way for us to promote the Suffolk breed which is still on the endangered breeds list, still rarer than the Chinese Panda!

We look forward to seeing you and celebrating our final show with you.

Hi, just wanted to say that we had a brilliant day today. My daughter loves the horses, she wanted one (told het to wait a couple of years, she’s only 2).My son loved the tractor and trailer ride. My partner and I enjoyed looking at the horses and other animals an the prices were not breaking the bank. Wich makes a nice chance. Thanks

This was a wonderful day out. The perfect summer’s day…! Warm (but not scorching), relaxed, happy – we never heard a child have a tantrum all day -and the chance to see beautiful animals in an idyllic setting. What more could anyone want?

I always really enjoy this event, and think what a splendid job Mike and Alison are doing of making sure their favourite breed of horse doesn’t become extinct. Imagine owning a herd of over 40 magnificent horses, all the same colour!

    Will the festival be rearranged?

    • Mike Clarke

We are not sure if it will be re-arranged at the moment. It will definitely take place next year but if we do find another slot this year we will post it here!

Had a lovely day at your show yesterday. Even weather was quite kind, just one really heavy shower as we left. My 92 year old Mum really enjoyed seeing the horses in all their finery .Everyone was very helpful and made sure she had a good view from her wheelchair.
Many thanks to all for good day out.
